We have 10 charity places up for grabs this year at a reduced cost of £26 per place. We ask runners who sign up to pledge to raise a minimum of £250.00 in sponsorship for Lighthouse. Lighthouse will provide you with a fundraising pack to help you to engage donors, support via our social media channels, information on how best to maximise your fundraising and of course a t-shirt for race day.
This years’ event takes place on Sunday 21st September, with the start and finish being held at Ipswich Town Football Club. It was such a great event last year and we were overwhelmed to have 19 runners taking part. There was lots going on on the day, local coverage, supporters along the route and entrainment in the event village at Ipswich Town FC.
If you would like to take part as a team with colleagues, friends from your gym, running club etc, this is a fantastic way to raise money for a local charity and get fit, or training for other events.
1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men in the UK will be affected by domestic abuse in their lifetime and at least a fifth (18%) of children in domestic abuse households are injured as a result of the abuse, therefore it is vital that Lighthouse is there to offer the support that is so desperately needed.
