Join our Team for the Ipswich Half Marathon 2026
We are delighted to be part of the Ipswich Half Marathon for a fifth year and are looking for runners who would like to take part and join the Lighthouse Team.
Are you looking to start your fitness journey, are you already part of a running club or gym, or you’re looking for a joint fundraising initiative for your employees.
We have 10 charity places up for grabs this year at a reduced cost of £26 per place. We ask runners who sign up to pledge to raise a minimum of £250.00 in sponsorship for Lighthouse. Lighthouse will provide you with a fundraising pack to help you to engage donors, support via our social media channels, information on how best to maximise your fundraising and of course a t-shirt for race day.
This years’ event takes place on Sunday 27th September, with the start and finish being held at Ipswich Town Football Club. It was a fabulous event last year and we were honoured to have 8 runners taking part. There was lots going on on the day, local coverage, supporters along the route, cheering the runners on and entrainment in the event village at Ipswich Town FC.
If you would like to take part as a team with colleagues, friends from your gym, running club etc, this is a fantastic way to raise money for a local charity and get fit, or training for other events.
1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men in the UK will be affected by domestic abuse in their lifetime and 1 in 5 children live within domestic abuse households, therefore it is vital that Lighthouse is there to offer the support that is so desperately needed. We talk to around 1,000 women a year from across Suffolk who are seeking advice or support regarding their current or past abusive relationship. Please let them know they are not alone and come and join us in the wonderful fundraising challenge.
