Support & Information for Family & Friends

This handbook has been compiled by Women’s Aid and provides practical support and information for anyone worried about a victim/survivor in their life, whether they’re a friend, family member, neighbour, or colleague. Many victims/survivors will tell these people about their experiences first and victims/survivors tell us that often this support has a huge impact on their experience, particularly if the person listens, is kind, and offers practical help.

The handbook is based on the research of Dr Alison Gregory, Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the University of Bristol, and her decades of work with third parties, survivors, and professionals.
